Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry held on Sunday a behind-closed-door meeting with his Italian counterpart Antonio Tajani, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid tweeted.
The spokesman said the deeply-rooted and solid Egyptian-Italian relationship and the economic partnership is considered a model for cooperation between Mediterranean countries.
The two ministers are expected to hold a joint press conference following their meeting.
