Italian Prime Minister: The withdrawal of some foreign mercenaries before the elections in Libya will help build confidence between all parties.

Rome, Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi praised the action plan developed by the Joint Military Commission (5+5), describing it as an important step forward.

And the Italian “Aki” news agency quoted Draghi as saying in his intervention during the Paris conference on Libya on Friday that the withdrawal of some foreign mercenaries before the elections scheduled for next December will help build confidence between all parties in the country.

The Prime Minister indicated that after the elections in Libya, it will be necessary to address the reform of the security system and the reintegration of fighters as a priority.

Mario Draghi concluded by stressing that his country is ready to provide the required support to achieve security and stability in Libya.
