Public Health Minister, Wael Abu Faour, said that National Social Security Fund (NSSF) must raise its contributions for chronic diseases to 100% rate, indicating, “The spared amount resulting from reducing the price of medicines reached about USD 263 million. We have spared USD 55 million amount for the fund as a minimum range.”
The minister on Thursday announced a series of decisions prone to reduce the price of medicines in Lebanon, saying that Labor Minister, Sejaan Azzi, has helped in this regard.
Abu Faour addressed the fund to make use of USD 9 million of the spared amounts to ensure full coverage for medicines.
