Baghdad Parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Halbousi contacted the Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mustafa al-Kadhimi, regarding the crime of unarmed civilians in Salah al-Din Governorate.
Al-Halbousi said that what happened today in “Al-Farhatia” is a bad omen and an attempt to destabilize security, and a clear dispossession has claimed the lives of a number of innocent civilians, adding that these scenes we thought were over with the years of black terrorism.
He pointed out that the relevant security authorities bear full responsibility for the lives of Iraqis, protecting civil peace, and preventing the security contract in the country from breaking apart and going into the unknown.
Al-Halbousi and Al-Kadhimi stressed during the call to work immediately and to open an investigation into the circumstances of the crime with the force holding the region, to pursue the perpetrators and reveal the results of the investigation, and to punish those who tamper with the country’s security, the lives of citizens, and those who seek chaos.
