Tripoli, President of Presidency Council met on Thursday British Defence Minister Ben Wallace and the Minister of State for Middle East and North Africa James Cleverly who are on a visit to Libya.
The British delegation highlighted the role of the Presidency Council in unifying the country through commitment to unify the state institutions and holding elections on set time.
The British delegation stressed need for withdrawal of all mercenaries from Libyan soil and support for the rehabilitation of the military institution.
On his part, AL Mnefi praised the role of Britain in pushing the political process, and stressed the importance that Britain and the international community work together to support the new executive authority and the Military Committee 5+5 and re-open the coastal highway, pull out mercenaries and foreign fighters, unify institutions and establish national reconciliation.
