The President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, will address the Lebanese on the occasion of the seventy-seventh anniversary of independence tomorrow, Saturday, through the audio-visual media, in a speech tackling current developments. Minister of Education: President Aoun received the caretaker Education Minister, Judge Tareq Al-Majzoub, today at Baabda Palace, and deliberated with him the educational situation in light of recent measures taken to confront the outbreak of the “Corona” pandemic. The meeting also addressed the situation of higher education and the need to tackle some urgent problems related. Artist Camille Hawa: President Aoun met artist, Camille Hawa who briefed the President on his artistic activities in the fields of painting and sculpture, in addition to his achievements. Independence Congratulations: On the other hand, President Aoun received more telegrams of congratulations on the occasion of the seventy-seventh anniversary of independence. Queen Elizabeth: The telegram of the British Queen Elizabeth II said: “I am pleased to send to Your Excellency my heartfelt greetings on the occasion of the National Day, coupled with the best wishes for the Lebanese people in these difficult times”.
