“Change and Reform” bloc leader, Deputy Michel Aoun met on Friday afternoon, Labor Minister, Sejaan Azzi and in the presence of Education Minister, Elias Bou Saab.
Azzi said following the meeting that both sides tackled many issues related to the ongoing incidents, particularly the presidential void.
“We want swiftly to hold the presidential elections as the presidential void is not only a constitutional one but a national vacuum,” the minister stressed.
He hoped that the dialogue committee would succeed to create a new dynamic which would lead to the election of a president “who enjoys a good representation”.
“I hope that developments would be fertile, noting that current indicators seems the opposite,” he added.
On the other hand, Azzi touched on the Syrian refugees issue in Lebanon. “It was a priority to find ways to return the million and a half Syrian refugees to Syria. We should be open to all negotiations with any side in order to achieve this issue”.
Separately, Aoun met with the Egyptian Ambassador to Lebanon, Mohamad Badreddine Zayed. Discussions highlighted bilateral ties between both countries and regional affairs.
