MUSCAT: Speakers and stakeholders at the 7th International Conference on Health Issues in Arab Communities, that concluded its scientific session in Muscat on Thursday, decided to strengthen the infrastructure of different health sectors in the region.
The conference which started on Monday witnessed a remarkable response from both speakers and participants.
Sessions started by exploring vision for organ donation and transplantation in the Arab communities and continued to present other health topics. Moreover, last day included a visit to an exhibition that demonstrated the management of diabetic wounds.
At the end of the conference came several important recommendations for further improvement in welfare and health of people.
Members decided to utilising the health indicators and data to identify health research priorities, promote health and social interventions to tackle health issues and the need for designing a comprehensive methodology to raise the awareness on organ transplantation.
