France’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Jean-Marc Ayrault, on Tuesday visited Amel Foundation in Haret Hreik whereby he met with head of said foundation Kamel Mhanna.
The visit came in the context of France’s support for Lebanon after the consequences of the Syrian crisis. The French minister was informed of the foundation’s aid to displaced Syrians in the fields of health, education, rehabilitation and entertainment.
He said that his country was working hard for a political solution to the Syrian war, adding, “We are working in favor of facilitating the path for humanitarian assistances to reach people living very catastrophic situation in Syria.”
He hoped that peace would prevail in Syria and displaced Syrians would return to their homeland.
