Bassil kicks off London visit, partakes in round table discussion about Lebanon, region

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Gebran Bassil, began a work visit to London and took part in a roundtable discussion of approximately 35 political researchers, ambassadors, and strategic analysts from the Royal United Services Institute.

Discussion reportedly touched on the situation in Lebanon and the Middle East, starting with the Arab-Israeli conflict, the Syrian crisis and its repercussions, and the war and fight against terrorism and extremism.

Bassil then explained to the members of the Institute the structure of the Lebanese system and its role as a model of coexistence, social interaction, and governance.
