BERRI FROM HOUSE OF PARLIAMENT SAYS TOUCHED UNANIMOUS AGREEMENT OVER CONDUCTING COMPREHENSIVE AUDIT

Caretaker Minister of Finance, Ghazi Wazni, on Friday requested to deliver a word at the House of Parliament’s session, yet House Speaker, Nabih Berri, refused on the grounds that “the discussion session is for MPs rather than Ministers to voice their opinions.”

“We are facing a truly fateful session; where is our country heading? The message of the President of the Republic has come at the right time and place, and we have seen today a unanimous agreement among all the parliamentary blocs over conducting a comprehensive and complete audit,” Berri said.

“Let us seize the opportunity and demonstrate to all the Lebanese and to the entire world that we are really serious about thrashing out this dossier; therefore, there is no need for some words that have been said a week or two ago outside the House of Parliament.”
