National Education and Higher Education Minister, Elias Bou Saab, received on Monday at his Ministry office newly accredited US Ambassador to Lebanon, Elizabeth Richard, on top of a delegation, who came on a courtesy visit upon her assumption of her new mission in Lebanon.
Talks between the pair reportedly dwelt on educational cooperation, especially with regard to the Ministry’s educational projects namely the plan designed to provide education for the Lebanese and refugee students and the restoration and construction of new schools.
On the other hand, Minister Bou Saab met with Canadian Ambassador to Lebanon, Michelle Cameron, who came in the company of Canadian deputy of Lebanese origin, Ziad Bou Lteif , and Lebanon Embassy Charge D’Affaire in Ottawa, Samy Haddad. Talks reportedly touched on educational and university cooperation projects, notably in terms of the education of Lebanese emigrants’ sons and the promotion of culture and Arabic language amongst them.
