Mufti of the Republic, Sheikh Abdel Latif Derian, met on Tuesday at Dar Fatwa with Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon, Ali Awad Asiri, whereby they reportedly dwelt on Islamic affairs and the current situation in the region.
Both sides also discussed means of bolstering ties between the two countries.
On the other hand, Sheikh Derian met with MP Ahmad Fatfat, with talks touching on hour issues.
On emerging, MP Fatfat stressed in response to a question the existence of one final reference at the Future Movement namely that of Deputy Saad Hariri, with the Movement enjoying one political decision despite various viewpoints and assessment outlooks.
In response to another question, Fatfat ruled out the election of a new president of the republic in the near future, saying such election is out of the question at the current phase.
