I was honored to attend yesterday’s inauguration of Alejandro Giammattei as President of Guatemala. I congratulate him and the Guatemalan people on an open, transparent election and successful transition of power. DFC is committed to partnering with President Giammattei and his government to bolster private sector investment in Guatemala to create opportunity and lift up communities across the country.
We are further encouraged by the President’s plans to work with the Guatemalan Congress to create a more business-friendly environment and address barriers that restrict public-private partnerships. These steps are essential to attracting private capital and accelerating economic growth.
President Giammattei is prioritizing private investment to bring prosperity to the Guatemalan people, and we will be right there alongside him.
