Prime Minister, Hassan Diab, met Tuesday at the Grand Serail with a delegation of the Syndicate of Money Changers in Lebanon, chaired by Mahmoud Mrad.
Speaking to reporters following the meeting, Mrad indicated that the Syndicate and the Central Bank Governor had agreed to set the US dollar rate at 2000 LBP, adding that the competent judicial authorities have embarked on pursuing unlicensed money changers.
Separately, the PM received Director General of Beirut Port, Hassan Koraytem.
Later on, Diab held talks with former lawmakers Abbas Hashem and Nabil Nicolas.
