Egypt, Oman renew bonds

MUSCAT: His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmood al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, received Dr Ashraf al Arabi, Minister of Planning, Follow-up and Administrative Reform in the Arab Republic of Egypt, in his office yesterday. During the meeting, the Egyptian Minister conveyed greetings of President Abdel Fattah el Sisi of the Arab Republic of Egypt to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos along with his best wishes of good health, well-being and a long life and the Omani people further progress.

After welcoming the guest and his accompanying delegation, His Highness Sayyid Fahd reviewed the track of the strong relations binding the two countries.

He pointed out the importance of the service sector in qualifying the administrative competence and promoting their abilities to upgrade and facilitate the services rendered for citizens, as His Highness Sayyid Fahd commended the existing cooperation between the two sides in this regard. The meeting reviewed the bilateral relations in the economic and social areas, as well as human resources development through the training and qualifying courses. The meeting also reviewed a number of current issues and developments at the regional and international arenas.

The Egyptian Minister expressed his pride of this visit, hailing the existing relations between the Sultanate and Egypt and the progress witnessed by the Sultanate in the march of the comprehensive development under its wise leadership. He explained the importance of the talks he held with officials in the Sultanate and their good outcomes.

The meeting was attended by Shaikh Khalid bin Omar al Marhoon, Minister of Civil Service.
