FAHMI ANNOUNCES TOTAL LOCKDOWN FROM JULY 30 TO AUGUST 3 AND AUGUST 6 TO AUGUST 10

Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Mohammad Fahmi, on Monday indicated that due to the spiking number of Coronavirus cases, the country will be witnessing a total lockdown from 30 July, 2020 to 3 August, 2020, and from 6 August, 2020 to 10 August, 2020.

 

“The country will be completely closed including institutions, private companies, and the banking sector,” Fahmi said, explaining that the decision excludes hospitals, as well as security, military, industrial, agricultural, and media institutions, in addition to sea and land borders, the airport, municipalities, and public facilities, which will be functioning as per an alternate schedule to be determined at a later stage.
