FIBA Asia Cup 2021 Qualifiers to start on Friday

Manama, The FIBA Asia Cup 2021 Qualifiers November window will open tomorrow, Friday Friday (Nov. 27) in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

 

Bahrain Basketball Association (BBA) is organizing the fourday qualifiers at the Khalifa Sports City in Isa Town in an empty stadium in compliance with the pracuatyionary measures and health protocols for combating the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

 

Bahrain is hosting the games in Groups A and D. Group A teams include Korea, Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand, while Group D features  Bahrain, Iraq, Lebanon, and India.

 

Bahrain will make its debut, taking on Iraq at 07:00 pm. It will be preceded by two two matches opposing India and Lebanon at 01:00 pm and the Philippines and Thailand at 04:00 pm.

 

The national squad has already beat India in Bahrain befor losing to Lebanon in Beirut. The team is training by national coach American Sam Vincent and his assistants Ayoub Hajji and Ayman Hamza.

 

The twelve-player squad includes  Ahmed Salman, Mohammed Hussein, Mohammed Kuwaid, Maitham Jameel, Mohammed Qurban, Ahmed Najaf, Mohammed Amir, Muzammel Amir, Hesham Sarhan, Mohammed Nasser and C.J Guilez .
