Foreign Ministry calls on Lebanese to stay put at Turkish airports

The Foreign and Expatriates Ministry of Lebanon issued a statement calling on all Lebanese nationals who are currently stuck at various Turkish airports, especially Ataturk, to remain there for the sake of their safety until air-traffic is resumed.

The Ministry asserted that it is following up the situation closely with Turkish authorities via its embassy in Ankara and consulate in Istanbul to ensure the safe return of Lebanese the soonest possible.

“Lebanese present at Turkish airports must follow up on announcements made by their respective airliners.”

In case of emergency, Lebanese nationals can contact Lebanese diplomatic mission on the numbers provided on the website of the Foreign Ministry.
