Damascus, Syria condemned the continued attacks of the Israeli occupation forces on the Palestinian people in the occupied Palestinian territories and their acts of raids and demolitions of Palestinian homes, the bulldozing of their lands and displacement from their areas, renewing its support for the Palestinian people and their right to freedom and independence.
An official source at Foreign and Expatriates Ministry said in a statement that Syrian Arab Republic government condemns in the strongest terms the continued attacks by the Israeli occupation forces on the Palestinian people in the occupied Palestinian territories, particularly in Jerusalem, and the attacks by the settlers who desecrate the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of the occupation forces which practice the worst forms of assaults against the Palestinian people.
The source added that Syria also condemns the Israeli occupation forces’ raids against the Palestinian cities and towns, demolishing Palestinians’ homes, razing their lands and trees, displacing them from their areas, and confiscating their lands for the construction of thousands of settlement units, in flagrant violation of international law, the legitimacy of human rights, international humanitarian law, and the resolutions of the Security Council and the United Nations General Assembly.
The source reiterated Syria’s support for the Palestinian people and their right to freedom and independence, ending the Israeli occupation and establishing the Palestinian independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
