Lebanese Forces’ leader, Samir Geagea, underlined that the sole solution to the current crisis in Lebanon lies within holding early parliamentary elections, considering that the ruling majority has failed.
“The only exit from the existing crisis lies within early elections after the ruling majority has failed to find solutions,” Geagea told Asharq al-Awsat newspaper.
On the relations with the Future Movement, Geagea said that both parties were on the same wavelength in terms of strategy, but that they had divergent viewpoints on the means to run the state.
He added that Caretaker Premier Saad Hariri had disappointed the LF several times, and that the time was not suitable to name him to lead the new government.
However, Geagea indicated that communication with the Progressive Socialist Party and Kataeb was still ongoing.
