Lebanese Forces leader, Samir Geagea, welcomed, in Maarab on Tuesday, a delegation of the politburo of Jamaa Islamiya, headed by former lawmaker Assaad Harmouche, with talks featuring high on latest developments and the current situation.
Harmouche told reporters that the meeting was occasion to discuss hindrances of national dialogue as well as the presidential vacuum.
“We conveyed the concerns of the Islamic scene, which reckons there are malicious attempts to demonize Sunnis. We consider that Islamic-Christian dialogue is the first guarantee of a strong, just, and balanced Lebanon,” he said.
