“Lebanese Forces” leader, Samir Gegaea, confirmed on Tuesday, “We continue to exert pressure to secure the demanded quorum to elect Deputy Michel Aoun to the presidency post.”
He said that Iran was disrupting the presidential elections in Lebanon through Hezbollah.
“Iran disrupts the Lebanese presidential elections in Lebanon through “Hezbollah”; it wants an alternative to the presidential elections in Lebanon”.
He added that Iran wanted to release the presidency deadline in Lebanon, but on condition to keep Bashar Assad in Syria.
Geagea asserted that his party had always worked for the interest of the nation and to serve the case.
His remarks came during a meeting at Mehrab with Lebanese expatriates.
