MP Boutros Harb said on Monday that no agreement was reached, at the meeting held on Sunday, on a precise electoral formula, announcing that discussions were still underway to improve conditions.
“If no agreement is reached, the country will face vacuum and the political authority will be obliged to hold legislative elections according to the law in force,” Harb said in an interview with the “Voice of Lebanon” radio station.
The MP added that agreement was inevitable, to prevent a political crisis and the return to the law of the 1960.
“This period is that of improvements. Then, they will be forced to agree on reasonable changes acceptable by all components,” he concluded.
