Lebanon’s Rafik Hariri University Hospital on Wednesday confirmed five new Coronavirus cases at the Hospital.
Hariri Hospital said in its daily report on the latest developments regarding the emerging coronavirus, that it had received “during the past 24 hours, 133 cases in the emergency unit designated to receive cases suspected of being infected with the disease, whereby 14 of them had to be admitted to the quarantine section while the rest adhered to home quarantine.”
“Laboratory tests were conducted over 125 cases, 120 of which were negative and 5 positive,” the Hospital report indicated.
It also disclosed that 16 cases that were held in quarantine were released today,” after their test results came out negative.
Eighteen cases are currently present in the quarantine section.
The health condition of coronavirus cases is stable, except for 2 in critical condition, all of whom receiving the necessary care in the isolation unit.
The Hospital also reported the second death from coronavirus of a Lebanese national who was in a critical condition when admitted to Hospital.
The Hospital also reported first full recovery case from the novel coronavirus. The patient had received treatment at the Rafic Hariri Hospital.
