The Rafic Hariri University Hospital issued this Tuesday the following statement:

“In response to what is being circulated through the media that the hospital has reached its maximum capacity and closed its doors to coronavirus patients, the hospital administration is keen on clarifying that it still receives coronavirus patients and suspected cases, in coordination with the Ministry of Public Health and the Lebanese Red Cross.

The hospital administration would like to note that its current capacity to receive coronavirus patients stands at 80 regular beds and 23 beds for critical cases. At present, there are 19 critical cases in the intensive care unit, in addition to 55 cases in the coronavirus-designated unit, including patients infected with the virus and others suspected to have contracted it.”
