Industry Minister meets with Cypriot officials

Manama, Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani, stressed the importance of boosting relations between Bahrain and Cyprus to promote development in both countries mainly in the industrial and commercial field.

 

He was speaking as he met today with Cypriot Minister of Energy, Commerce and Industry, Natasa Pilides, who was accompanying Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades during his official visit to the kingdom.

 

The meeting was attended by Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism Undersecretary Iman Ahmed Al Dosari and officials from both sides.

 

In media statements, the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism underlined the importance of the meeting to exchange views on many issues, pointing out the need to benefit from the exchange of visits to promote constructive cooperation between the two friendly countries.

 

For her part, the Cypriot Minister of Energy, Commerce and Industry voiced keenness on building on the outcome of her meeting with the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism. She expressed appreciation of the strategic plans and quality initiatives implemented by the Kingdom of Bahrain to develop the industrial and commercial sector

 

The Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani, the Board Chairman of Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority (BTEA), underscored the need to further promote relations between both countries in the tourism sector to achieve common goals and aspirations. He was speaking during a meeting today with Cypriot Deputy Minister of Tourism, Savvas Perdios, who was accompanying the President of Cyprus during his official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

 

The meeting was attended by BTEA Marketing and Promotion Director Meriam Ahmed Tourani.

 

In media statements, the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism praised the outcome of the meeting which focused on ways of enhancing bilateral relations, mainly in the tourism field, and Bahrain’s capabilities in this regard thanks to its strategic location and the suitable environment and facilities provided for the investors.

 

For his part, the Cypriot Deputy Minister of Tourism described the meeting as constructive and fruitful, stressing the importance of such visits and meetings in fostering bilateral cooperation in the tourism field.
