Iraq and Egypt are discussing cooperation in the industrial and investment fields

Baghdad  The Scientific Advisor to the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, Ammar Abdullah Al-Janabi, discussed with the Egyptian Commercial Counselor Majid Sabeq ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two countries in all industrial fields and the possibility of benefiting from the experiences of Egyptian companies to advance the Iraqi industrial reality.

A statement by the Ministry of Industry, a copy of which the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / received a copy stated that the meeting discussed a number of issues, including the strengthening of joint investments to benefit from the experiences of Egyptian companies, technology and development in various industrial fields, as well as the topic of drug security and cooperation in the car industry.

During the meeting, the consultant stressed the Ministry’s desire and keenness to conclude successful partnership agreements and investment contracts with the Egyptian side in a way that serves the interest of both parties, pointing to the Iraqi government and the Ministry’s direction towards reviving the industry in Iraq and the need to use Egyptian expertise and attract them to achieve the goals set in this regard.

He called on Egyptian companies to cooperate with Iraq in various industries, especially textile and auto industries, to establish industrial cities and transfer Egyptian experiences to Iraq, indicating that the Ministry is looking for real investment opportunities in all fields in addition to important partnership contracts.”

For his part, the Egyptian Commercial Counselor affirmed his country’s readiness to support Iraq and establish distinguished relations with it in various fields, expressing its welcome to hold partnerships and joint investments with the availability of facilities and encouraging measures provided by the Iraqi government, expressing hope that this visit will contribute to developing joint work and opening new horizons for future cooperation between the two countries.
