BEIRUT, Lebanon- The Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS), announced on Wednesday, that, it has handed out more than 1,000 Iftar (fast-breaking) meals and clothes for Eid al-Fitr, to Syrian refugee families in southern Lebanon.
In a statement, Abdullah Jomaa, head of KRCS’ team in Lebanon, said, the society distributed 1,016 Iftar meals, clothes for Eid and sweets, to Syrian refugee families, in a camp of Marjayoun area.
He added that, the society continues handing out daily Iftar meals to Syrian refugees, during the holy month of Ramadan, in all areas.
Jomaa expressed his gratitude to the Lebanon Red Cross, for cooperating with the KRCS, in carrying out the aid campaign, in several areas across the country, during Ramadan.
Meanwhile, Adel Al-Nabhan, a member of the KRCS, said, in a statement, that, the society is trying to extend a helping hand to Syrian refugees in Lebanon, so as to alleviate their suffering.
He stressed the society’s continued humanitarian efforts and projects, to aid Syrian refugees, as part of Kuwaiti institutions’ constant humanitarian campaign, which has been providing to the refugees, since the outbreak of the crisis.
At the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, the society has launched the campaign, aimed at dispensing about 30,000 Iftar meals and clothes for Eid to Syrian refugees, in different areas across Lebanon.
