Briefing on family planning policy
The National Health and Family Planning Commission is scheduled to hold a media briefing in Beijing today. Health officials are expected to introduce the latest developments involving family planning policy and technology.
China-Arab states exposition
The China-Arab States Expo will be held in Yinchuan, capital of the Ningxia Hui autonomous region, from today till Sunday. At the invitation of President Xi Jinping, Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz will attend the opening ceremony of the expo during his state visit to China.
Major marathon registration begins
Registration for the Shanghai International Marathon, one of the major marathons in China, is set to open today. The event on Nov 8 includes a 42-km race, 21-km race and 10-km race. Global film festival rolls out
The Toronto International Movie Festival, one of the world’s major film events, is scheduled to run from today till Sept 20. The Promised Land, an upcoming Chinese film directed by He Ping, has been selected as one of the screenings during the festival.
