Interior and Municipalities Minister, Nouhad Machnouk, met on Friday with Fatah Movement’s Central Committee’s member, Azzam al Ahmad, accompanied by Palestinian Ambassador to Lebanon, Ashraf Dabbour, and PLO senior official in Lebanon, Fathi Abu al-Ardat.
Al Ahmad said the minister told him that the Lebanese security forces would be collaborating with the Palestinian leadership and the Palestine Embassy to maintain calmness in the Palestinian camps.
“We focused on measures taken by the Ministry to facilitate Palestinian refugees’ living conditions via the regulation of their papers until their return,” he said.
“We discussed the latest developments in Ain al-Hilweh camps in the shadow of suspicious activity groups, which still employ their destructive methods and try to blow the security situation in the camps to hit civil peace in Lebanon and spread chaos in the Arab countries,” he added.
