The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Luigi Di Maio, is in Brussels today for the Foreign Affairs Council.
The meeting will focus on transatlantic relations and the Western Balkans. The agenda will also include an exchange of views on the main current international issues, including the situation in the Sahel, in Afghanistan and in the Lebanon; relations with Russia; the JCPOA negotiations taking place in Vienna; the postponement of the Palestinian elections; the health situation, ahead of the World Health Summit that Italy will be hosting in Rome on 21 May.
Lastly, the Ministers will be holding a videoconference with the US President’s Special Eenvoy, John Kerry, to discuss climate change.
