Minister of Energy and Water Nada Boustany received this Wednesday the German Ambassador to Lebanon, George Berglin, and discussed ways of cooperation in the fields of electricity, water and oil.
She also discussed with Danish Ambassador, Merritt Joel, the ministry’s projects in the areas of electricity, water, oil, shedding light on the importance of bilateral cooperation.
On a different note, Boustany received the French coordinator of the Cedre conference, Pierre Ducan, thanking her guest’s continuous support for Lebanon, pointing out that “the meeting dealt with issues related to the Ministry of Energy and Water, especially those relevant to the Cedre conference.
“We reviewed the progress made in the electricity plan specifically,” she said after the lengthy meeting.
For his part, Ducan praised the progress made in the implementation of the electricity plan, stressing the need “to have 24/7 electricity supply so as to attract investors, both Lebanese and foreigners, especially since electricity is an urgent need amid the present economic situation in Lebanon.”
He expressed “the need to reform this sector for the benefit of all sectors in Lebanon.”
