Head of Kataeb Party, MP Sami Gemayel, said in a press conference on Tuesday, that the civil society would take action to confront mafias and corruption in Lebanon and that his party was facing a similar challenge in the government.
He pointed out that Adonis valley contains the largest natural zone and historic archaeological areas, but there are people destroying it with continuous deforestation.
“Why should we continue the implementation of Janna dam project if the Environment Ministry confirmed it caused damage?” questioned Gemayel.
As for the garbage file, Gemayel attributed the responsibility of the crisis to the Council for Development and Reconstruction.
