MUSCAT: The 20th edition of Muscat International Book Fair, which attracted over a million visitors from the Sultanate and abroad ends today.
The concluding ceremony will be presided over by Dr Abdulmunim bin Mansour bin Said al Hasani, Minister of Information and Chairman of Information Committee Muscat International Book Fair. The ceremony will honour individuals and institutions.
The fair saw many cultural and literary events like talks by Omani and non-Omani authors, poetry reading, besides special events for children like painting.
More than 633 publishing houses participate in the fair from 24 countries displaying over 180,000 titles.
The fair has 872 stalls of the Sultanate and various countries of the world, showcasing different books literature, culture, science, religion, language, art, politics and economy, as well as children’s books.
