Nechirvan Barzani discusses with the new Jordanian consul in the region the Iraqi elections and efforts to form the next government

Baghdad The President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, discussed with the new Jordanian Consul General in the region, Fouad Al-Majali, the Iraqi elections and efforts to form the next federal government.

A statement by the Presidency of the Kurdistan Region stated that Barzani, during his meeting on Monday, Majali expressed his support for the success of the work and tasks of the consul, again expressing the thanks and gratitude of the Kurdistan Region for the continuous support it receives from King Abdullah II of Jordan during difficult times.

For his part, the Jordanian Consul General affirmed that he is eagerly looking forward to dealing with the institutions of the Kurdistan region and strengthening relations.

The statement indicated that the Iraqi elections, the efforts to form the next federal government, the Covid-19 epidemic and its repercussions, the anti-virus vaccination process, the work and activities of the Jordanian community in the Kurdistan region, and the issue of stability in Jordan, Iraq and the region in general, formed other axes of the meeting.
