Omasco marks year of Business Excellence at Conference 2015

MUSCAT: Oman Marketing and Services Company (Omasco) a leading trading, property and financial services company in Oman with key activities in automotive, marine, electronics, projects and engineering and industrial products recently held a special “Conference 2015 – A year of Business Excellence’ for its employees at Shangri-La’s Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa.

The aim of the event was to share the vision of the company with the employees and empower them with knowledge on the company’s strategy for the year ahead. Over 300 employees from across the Sultanate came together to explore the culture of the organisation which endeavours to provide a value based customer experience with an engaged workforce.

As part of this conference, Omasco launched its innovative ‘Afkari’ programme which is a think-tank for employees across all the Omasco business units. Employees are encouraged to think about what is best for the company and to put forward their ideas to enhance Omasco to even greater heights. The programme, which translates to ‘My Ideas’ in English, encourages innovation from within and will ensure the continued success of the company. This forum was also used to recognise and honour individuals who have been with Omasco for over 30 years for their long term association.

Commenting on the event, Hussain al Lawati, Managing Director, Omasco said, “Omasco’s mission is at the forefront of every team members mind. The principles of choice, value and engagement comes together to achieve this”. He went on to say, “We have a lot of talent in house and we want to encourage them to actively participate in the success of the business.”

Delegates who attended the conference included Len Hunt, President , Al Futtaim Automotive, Colin Cordery, Regional Managing Director and Sandeep Ajgonkar, Regional General Manager, After Sales. Omasco has focused plans for 2015 and is geared to achieve very competitive results. It has the best team in place to help it to reach its goals.
