Minister of Tourism, Michel Pharaon, said on Monday that the tourism season has begun on a very high note with incoming flights exceeding all expectations during Eid Fitr period.
Pharaon made his remarks after meeting Jean Beiruti, head of Lebanon’s Touristic Firms Syndicate, and head of Syndicate of Owners of Restaurants, Cafes, Night-clubs and Pastries in Lebanon, Toni Rami.
“On the security level, the entire world is subjected to terrorist threats; but, Lebanon is at full alert among tourism capitals and security is under control from the airport to the interior,” said the Minister.
Pharaon hoped that the summer festivals revive the tourism season.
