Pharoun kicks off Ghalboun Festivals: We refuse to succumb to any concern

Tourism Minister, Michel Pharoun, voiced absolute rejection of succumbing to any grave concern, thanks to the high vigilance of security forces and the strong determination by civil society and associations.

Minister Pharoun’s fresh words on Thursday came during a press conference at the Tourism Ministry, whereby he launched Ghalboun touristic festivals, in the presence of Ministry Director General, Nada Sardouk, and concerned officials and dignitaries.

“We hope that these festivals would be up to our aspirations to be able to give a civilized image of Lebanon,” Pharoun said, stressing the paramount importance of upholding and defending Lebanon’s values of civilization, including the manifestations of civilization such as festivals to be taking place in summer.

Pharoun also heaped praises on the role of Ghalboun officials who have managed to place the town on the map of the typical municipal and rural tourist map, which is based on guest houses or other types of tourism.
