Baghdad Member of Parliament for the Saeron Alliance, Riadh Al-Masoudi, said that the current year budget is … without planning and without a real strategy.”
Al-Masoudi said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that this budget is absent from planning and real results, and we still rely on numbers and paragraphs of projects, and the previous approach since 2005 after the constitution was approved.”
He added that this is the fourth government, and Iraq is still suffering from mismanagement, planning, and the lack of a real strategy. The budget is still rentier, 90 to 92 percent dependent on oil, and even non-oil revenues are still suffering from it.”
Regarding the date of its approval, he made it clear that the matter is directly related to the political community and not to the technical one, indicating that political consensus is the basis for its approval.
