Justice Minister, Ashraf Rifi, branded national dialogue session as a ruse, noting the presence of attempts by some to disrupt presidential elections.
“We believe that dialogue is a deception mean to reach an establishment conference sought by Hezbollah, which we shall counter by resorting to civil disobedience,” Minister Rifi said on Wednesday in a televised interview to “Sky News Arabiya” Channel.
In reply to a question, Rifi said that the outcome of recent municipal elections was tantamount to a “warning”, whereby the Lebanese people said: “enough leniency with Hezbollah.”
“What happened in recent municipal elections in Lebanon, notably in Tripoli, has been a message for all to stop the subordinance policy towards Hezbollah,” Rifi concluded.
