Casino du Liban opened on Wednesday evening Senses of Greece festival at La Martingale Terrace, sponsored by the Greek Embassy in Lebanon.
The festival was attended by Greek Ambassador, Fransiscos Verros, Casino du Liban CEO, Roland Khoury, and Director of the National News Agency, Laure Sleiman Saab, as well as other official figures.
Ambassador Verros then gave a word in which he congratulated Casino du Liban’s administration for organizing this festival, saying: “Allow me first to welcome you by the Greek Embassy, here, tonight, in the first night of twelve, presenting ‘Les Saveurs de GrAce’ at Casino du Liban. I can’t but congratulate the casino’s administration for organizing these Greek nights that offer music, dance, food, wine, and drinks for the present crowd.”
The ambassador went on to say that “the participation of the famous Greek singer, Tina Alexopoulou, with her band and its chief, Arthouros Arakelian, as well as the participation of the dance group presented by the Greek community, confirms the authenticity of what the audience is seeing. Also proving the success of this night are the services offered by Casino du Liban.”
Verros concluded by thanking those who contributed to the success of this great idea, wishing a happy evening for those participating, inviting them to “taste the most delectable Greek foods and drinks.”
The festival will last till the 15th of September. It will be a combination of the art of cooking, by Arthur Arakelyan, and the art of ancient Greek singing, by Tina Alexopoulou, who will rock the audience with the most beautiful songs to the beat of Zorba, Sirtaki, and other dances.
