KHARTOUM, Sudanese Foreign Minister Al-Dirdiri Mohamed Ahmed left here Tuesday on a second African tour which will take him to the Rwandan capital Kigali, and the Kenyan capital, Kenya.
He has been delegated by the President with the task of meeting Rwandan President Paul Kagame, who is the current Chair of the African Union (AU), and Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta, says Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ambassador Ghariballa Khidir.
He added that the Foreign Minister would inform the Rwandan and Kenyan leaders of the outcome of the negotiations between the warring South Sudanese parties and the coming steps for realization of peace in that country. Sudan hosted talks between leaders of the opposing sides of the South Sudan civil war in Khartoum late last month.
The Foreign Minister had embarked on the first stage of an African tour as the presidential envoy last week when he travelled to Uganda, South Sudan State and Ethiopia where he met with leaders of the three countries.
