KHARTOUM, President Omer al-Bashir of Sudan has received an official invitation from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, to attend the 28th Arab Summit Conference set to take place in Riyadh on April 15.
The president on Tuesday also received another invitation from King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz for participation in a maritime exercise in which a number of Arab countries are taking part, especially countries in the Arab Alliance.
The invitations were presented to the President when he received the Saudi Ambassador to the Sudan, Ali Bin Hassan Jaafar, at the Presidential Guest House in Khartoum.
The ambassador underlined in a statement issued after the meeting the importance of the Arab summit which will discuss a number of issues related to the Arab Nation and challenges facing it.
The ambassador said the summit will be preceded by meetings of experts to be followed by the meetings of the Ministers for Foreign Affairs who in turn will submit their findings in the form of recommendations and resolutions to the Arab Summit.
