The conference of chambers of commerce between the United States and the Kurdistan region will start tomorrow

Baghdad  The two-day conference of chambers of commerce between the United States and the Kurdistan region will start tomorrow, Monday, via video conference technology, with the participation of the PM of the regional government, Masrour Barzani, and the US Deputy Energy Secretary.

The Representative of the Kurdistan Regional Government in America, Sami Abdul Rahman said in a statement, according to the “RADAW” network, that the conference will focus on the economic priorities of the Kurdistan region after the Corona pandemic, and ways to strengthen the economy in addition to strengthening relations between the United States and the region.

According to the same source, Deputy Director of the American Chambers of Commerce in the Middle East, Steve Lutz, said, “We have long-term relations with the Kurdistan Regional Government and Iraq in general, and we are focusing our attention on some of the sites with which we have actually good relations, including for example the fields of energy, security and defense “.

He added: “We want to focus differently on scientific aspects such as the health sector that everyone is looking forward to now, especially with the Corona crisis, and we are also looking for opportunities in the field of the digital economy, in addition to infrastructure, development of industries, agriculture, and all sectors of an economic nature.”
