The Foreign Minister receives the Minister of Military Production of the Republic of Pakistan, stresses the importance of bilateral cooperation in the field of military industrialization

Baghdad  Foreign Minister Fouad Hussain discussed with the Pakistani Minister of Military Production Zubaida Jalal ways to strengthen and develop bilateral relations between the two countries on issues of mutual interest, including the security aspect, in a way that achieves the common interest of the two friendly countries.

During the meeting, the Minister said, according a statement by the ministry, that Pakistan is an essential and important partner for Iraq, and the two countries are linked by long-standing relations and common factors, including confronting terrorism and extremism, stressing the need for bilateral cooperation in the field of military industrialization.

The statement indicated that the two sides discussed the need to activate the Iraqi-Pakistani joint committee, and to expedite the completion of agreements and memoranda of understanding between the two countries in addition to the issue of religious tourism and ways to facilitate the granting of entry visas to Pakistani visitors who wish to visit the holy shrines in Iraq, because of their great importance to Muslims in the world.
