Turkey condemns the bombing of Sadr City and stresses that its aim is to destabilize security and stability in Iraq

Baghdad – The Turkish Foreign Ministry condemned the explosion that targeted a popular market in Sadr City on Monday evening, and offered condolences to the Iraqi government and people for the victims of the attack.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement, that it “received with great sadness the news of the fall of a large number of dead and wounded as a result of an explosion that took place in a popular market in Sadr City in Baghdad on the Day of Arafa.”
It strongly condemned the “treacherous terrorist attack”, saying that “the aim of it is to destabilize security and stability in Iraq.”/ End
