Turkish Warplane Bombs A Village In Northern Iraq

Baghdad  A Turkish military plane bombed the village of Karbali in the district of Mankeshik Zakho in Dohuk, Friday evening, in the framework of Ankara’s ongoing military operations in the Kurdistan region of Iraq.

The director of the district, Mushtaq Ismat, said: A Turkish plane launched raids on Friday night in the Shevky River in Karbali village, noting that it was not yet known the size of the losses due to the bombing, because it was not possible to go to the village and examine the damage.

Karbali village consists of 8 houses and only two families live in it, while other families are visiting the village during holidays.

Turkey launched in the middle of last June, “Operation Claw – Eagle”, which it said was “targeting the PKK sites inside the territory of the region”, and after two days a ground campaign in the name of “Claw – Tiger” began in Haftinin area in Dohuk in northern Iraq, and operations are still continuing until now.
