Turtle reserve draws large number of foreign tourists

RAS AL JINZ: As many as 33,192 tourists visited the Ras Al Jinz Turtle Reserve with an increase of 30 per cent over the last year. The Ras Al Jinz Turtle Reserve, a world environmental tourism destination, attracted the attention of travel and tourism companies and placed itself as a major must-see tourist spot for foreign tourists arriving in the Sultanate.

It provides foreign tourists with a unique experience with its multitude of turtle species particularly in March, April, October and December.

Among the most exciting scenes that entertain the tourists are the flocks of turtles crawling to the sea and the beautiful green turtle species with their eye-catching formations. Tourists are particularly interested in watching young turtles hatching and creeping slowly to the sea.
