Methanol Company organised a blood donation camp to mark the return of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos. Forty-two donors donated blood at the two-day camp held at the Salalah Methanol campus on Monday and Tuesday.
The event was held in association with the Sultan Qaboos Hospital as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR). The event started with preparations of the blood collection team, who welcomed the staff of the SMC and introduced them to the benefits of blood donation and how it is helpful for saving the lives of people.
They explained the donation process with the pre-tests of blood and the needed examination of the donors.
Afterwards the team exhibited some tests before the donation process. The tests included the examination of blood pressure, hemoglobin test (PH) and the blood sugar tests.
The company thanked the SQH blood bank team.
Sharif Ramis Mahfoodh, blood supervisor, conducted the event as SQH representative.
